Hometown: Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Medical School: University of Alabama School of Medicine Bio:I love experiencing all that Nashville has to offer and hope to raise a family in this beautiful and diverse city. I feel grateful to be training at Vanderbilt Health, where I am receiving top-notch clinical education. Outside of medicine, I enjoy working with my hands on small home projects and playing soccer with friends. Lately, I have started playing pickleball, often humbled by retirees who have perfected the game. I am extremely happy with my choice to train in Vanderbilt Health's Department of Anesthesiology. The training environment here is very supportive, and from my co-residents to program leadership, everyone works to ensure each other's success. Hometown: Springfield, Ill. Undergraduate Education: University of Kentucky Medical School: University of Illinois College of Medicine Bio: I grew up in a close-knit household with my three sisters and supportive parents, whose hard work made this path possible. That foundation shaped my strong sense of community and continues to guide how I show up as a resident, colleague, and friend. I am passionate about medical education and early student outreach, and I care deeply about creating spaces where learners feel encouraged and supported. Outside the hospital, you will usually find me trying BBQ spots, catching live jazz, exploring cozy coffee shops, and unwinding with cartoons and anime. I also dabble in graphic design and take wellness seriously—which mostly means regularly booking massages. At home, I’m happily kept company by my talkative cat, Kyoshi, and cuddly dog, Jewels. I chose Vanderbilt Health’s Department of Anesthesiology for its genuine sense of community and commitment to investing in its residents. It has quickly felt like home, and I am grateful to have found incredible mentors, friends, and a supportive family helping me grow into the anesthesiologist I hope to be. | | Kelsey Hudson

Hometown: Seattle, Wash. Undergraduate Education: University of Washington Medical School: University of Washington School of Medicine Bio: As a Seattle native, I grew up playing soccer and trekking through the mountains of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Having lived my entire life in the same state, I was nervous about relocating across the country to Nashville. While I’ll admit the humidity required some acclimation, it was evident from day one that I had made the right decision and am absolutely where I’m supposed to be! The sense of community here is exactly what I was looking for in a program (special shout-out to my co-residents!), and I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of the Vanderbilt Health’s Dream Team. In my free time, I enjoy walks or runs in the park, board game nights, exploring farmers’ markets, reading by the pool, weekly happy hours with my co-residents, and discovering the hidden gems of Nashville’s food scene. |

Hometown: Denver, Colo. Undergraduate Education: University of Pennsylvania Medical School: University of Colorado School of Medicine Bio:I was raised in Colorado, studied in Philadelphia, and worked in finance in New York City before returning to Colorado for medical school. Growing up in Denver and later living in larger cities fostered my appreciation for both outdoor and urban experiences, and Nashville offers an ideal balance of the two, with each neighborhood having its own distinct charm. After work, one of my favorite ways to unwind is taking a walk through Percy Warner Park, where the fall colors are especially spectacular. My husband and I also enjoy day trips and short weekend getaways to nearby towns such as Chattanooga, Cookeville, Clarksville, and Paris, Tennessee. Vanderbilt Health and Nashville have been exceptional places to continue my training, and the warmth and authenticity of the faculty, residents, and community make Nashville feel like a natural home away from home. |

Hometown: Naperville, Ill. Undergraduate Education: Saint Louis University Medical School: Saint Louis University School of Medicine Bio: I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and spent summers and winters traveling in the Czech Republic, where most of my family still lives. From my first day at Vanderbilt Health, I knew I had gained an incredible family that has continued to support me as an anesthesia resident. I feel so lucky to be able to walk to work every day, enjoy the amazing Nashville music scene in my backyard, and have great hiking so close by. Hometown: Crown Point, Ind. Undergraduate Education: The Ohio State University Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine Bio: Originally born and raised in the Midwest near the Chicago area, I moved south for a change of pace and to explore a region where I see myself living as an attending. I chose Vanderbilt Health for residency because of its exceptional support system—from program leadership to co-residents—which has created a true home away from home. In my free time, I enjoy working out, going on camping trips with friends, watching the Buckeyes on Saturdays, and spending time with my significant other exploring new restaurants and experiences that Nashville has to offer. |
Ayesha Vohra Hometown: Richmond, Va. Undergraduate Education: University of Virginia Medical School: Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine Bio: I was born in Mumbai and spent the early years of my life in India before moving to the U.S. Since then, I’ve lived in more cities than I can count, but my family eventually settled in Richmond, Virginia, the place we now proudly call our second home. I attended UVA for undergrad and then went to MUSC in Charleston, SC, for medical school, where I fell in love with beaches, palmetto trees, and delicious food. I later moved to Nashville with my cat, Jaffar, who is both handsome and full of zoomies. Choosing Vanderbilt Health was easy: I’ve always had a strong interest in global anesthesia, and during my interview, I met some of the kindest, warmest, and most welcoming residents, faculty, and staff. Although we miss the low-country charm, I’ve been continually impressed by the teaching, mentorship, and phenomenal training I’ve received here. I would choose this place again in a heartbeat (and not just because Jaffar refuses to move again). In my free time, you can find me running, doing hot yoga, taking unnecessarily long walks, or exploring every corner of Music City with my husband, Gray. Feel free to reach out anytime—I’m always happy to chat! | | Amber Wesoloski Hometown:Pittsburgh, Penn. Undergraduate Education:University of Alabama Medical School: Vanderbilt Univeristy School of Medicine Bio:I spent my early childhood about an hour south of Chicago and moved to Pittsburgh during middle school. I came to Nashville for medical school and have absolutely loved the city and the opportunity to train at Vanderbilt Health. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy hiking and running, swing dancing, exploring coffee shops, playing basketball, and singing in my local church choir. My co-residents have become some of my favorite people, and I am grateful for this community that makes Nashville feel like home. |
Addison Yee Hometown: Little Rock, Ark. Vanderbilt offered the perfect combination of being close to home, providing top-notch training, and fostering the community I wanted to be a part of. I was convinced the moment I attended the virtual open house—I could immediately see the genuine bonds between coresidents and leadership. In my free time, I love spending time with my coresidents, who have become some of my closest friends.
